PORTALS OF BADRINATH DHAM OPEN AMID VEDIC CHANTS, THOUSANDS OFFER PRAYERS ON AUSPICIOUS OCCASION

In a spiritually significant moment, the sacred portals of Badrinath Dham were opened for devotees at 6:15 AM on Thursday, marking the beginning of the summer pilgrimage season. The opening ceremony was conducted with traditional rituals and Vedic chanting, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion and reverence across the holy town.

As the temple doors opened, the entire premises of Badrinath Dham resonated with chants and spiritual energy, drawing around 15,000 devotees from across the country and abroad, who gathered to witness the auspicious occasion and seek divine blessings. Pilgrims offered prayers to Lord Badri Vishal and had darshan of the sacred Akhand Jyoti (eternal flame), symbolizing unwavering faith and continuity.

The event reflected an overwhelming surge of devotion, with thousands standing in long queues early in the morning to be part of the sacred moment. The opening of Badrinath Dham is one of the most anticipated religious events, marking the beginning of the Char Dham Yatra and attracting devotees from all walks of life.

On this significant occasion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first Mahabhishek Puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offering prayers for the prosperity, well-being, and happiness of the nation and the state.

During his visit, the Chief Minister also paid his respects at other sacred sites within the temple complex. He offered prayers at the Lakshmi Temple, Ganesh Temple, and the shrine of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, along with several other temples located within the premises, highlighting the deep spiritual importance of the entire pilgrimage site.

Authorities ensured that all arrangements were in place for the smooth conduct of the ceremony and the safety of devotees, given the large turnout. The reopening of the temple not only holds immense religious importance but also marks the revival of pilgrimage activity in the region after the winter closure.

The grand opening ceremony stands as a testament to unwavering faith and devotion, as thousands gathered in the Himalayas to begin their sacred journey and seek blessings at one of India’s holiest shrines.
