Uttarakhand Launches ‘Operation Prahar’ to Crack Down on Crime, CM Dhami Issues Strong Warning !!

Date:

Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a firm and decisive crackdown on crime across the state, following recent incidents that have raised concerns over law and order. Addressing the situation in Dehradun, the Chief Minister emphasized that maintaining the sanctity and safety of the state remains a top priority for the government.

Referring to Uttarakhand as Devbhoomi, he stated that the state must remain peaceful, secure, and free from criminal activities. “Devbhoomi must be completely clean and crime-free,” he said, making it clear that the administration is committed to ensuring a safe environment for residents and visitors alike.

The Chief Minister acknowledged that certain unfortunate incidents had taken place in recent days, describing them as a challenge for the government. However, he assured that these developments have only strengthened the resolve of the administration to act decisively. “These incidents are a challenge, and we will completely eradicate such activities,” he stated, underlining the seriousness of the government’s approach.

As part of this intensified effort, the police department has launched ‘Operation Prahar’, a targeted initiative aimed at identifying and taking strict action against individuals involved in criminal activities. The operation is being carried out across multiple districts, with a focus on strengthening surveillance and increasing enforcement.

According to the Chief Minister, the ongoing operation has already led to significant action on the ground. “Under Operation Prahar, many criminals are being apprehended,” he said, highlighting the proactive role of the police in tackling the situation. The initiative includes extensive checks and inspections, particularly in areas that require close monitoring.

One of the key aspects of the operation is the inspection of hostels and similar establishments. Authorities have begun conducting thorough checks to ensure compliance with safety norms and to prevent any misuse of such facilities. The Chief Minister stressed that hostel operators must cooperate fully with the administration during these inspections.

“Hostel operators will also have to cooperate. Strict action will be taken. No one will be spared,” he warned, sending a clear message that accountability will be enforced at all levels. The statement reflects a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence or involvement in unlawful activities.

The government is also working towards strengthening mechanisms that can prevent such incidents in the future. The Chief Minister indicated that new arrangements and stricter monitoring systems will be put in place to ensure that similar situations do not arise again. This includes enhanced coordination between law enforcement agencies and local authorities.

The focus on preventive measures highlights the administration’s intent to not only respond to incidents but also to build a more secure framework for the future. By combining enforcement with systematic checks, the government aims to create an environment where criminal activities are effectively deterred.

The launch of Operation Prahar marks a strong and coordinated effort to restore confidence and reinforce law and order across Uttarakhand. The visible action on the ground is expected to act as a deterrent and reassure the public about their safety.

As the operation continues, authorities are expected to intensify their efforts, ensuring that all areas remain under strict vigilance. The Chief Minister’s firm stance signals that the administration is determined to maintain peace and uphold the law without compromise.

With a clear message of zero tolerance, the government has reinforced its commitment to making Uttarakhand safe, secure, and free from crime.
